Supreme Court strikes down Arizona law requiring proof of citizenship to vote
Mon Jun 17, 2013
As far as I am concerned, proof of citizenship should be required for voting. However, as the article pointed out, the law that was shot down required proof when registering to vote and that caused legal immigrants to have to go in to register instead of registering online. That's a problem.
Aesha, three years later: 'I'm a very lucky girl'
Thu Jun 13, 2013
Carol, that is far from correct. I'm a Christian and I disagree with you. All religions (those that aren't cults, anyhow) are legitimate. I may disagree with their beliefs or even try talking them into what I believe, but everyone has a right to believe as they wish.
NBC News/WSJ poll: Affirmative action support at historic low
Tue Jun 11, 2013
I have noticed reverse discrimination for a long time now. Being treated equally is obviously a good thing. But when the minority group (whatever group you're talking about) starts to get more than equal treatment, then it's gone too far.
Future of voting rights at stake before Supreme Court
Thu May 30, 2013
We need more people today who think like you do. People need to look at each issue individually before deciding what is best. Just because it came from your party doesn't make it good.
Police: Maine man staged girl's kidnap to later 'be the hero,' but killed her
Wed May 29, 2013
I agree with others here regarding the brother and girlfriend. Both were aware of what happened and did not go to authorities. They should both be charged as accessories to murder. From the article, it appears that the brother was aware prior to it happening, so he's definitely an accessory.
Manhattanhenge! A skyscraper sunset stops traffic in New York City
Wed May 29, 2013
I'm not sure what it is with New York and the areas around there. Naming sunsets. Naming snow storms. Naming anything they can name. Yes, the sun is visible down the street at certain times of the year.
Clock is ticking for holder of $590 million Powerball ticket
Mon May 20, 2013
A ticket can be shared by a pool of people. Groups often get together to put in a pool of money and buy a lot of tickets. If any ticket wins, they split the winnings. It can increase your odds of winning even though you'll get less money than if you didn't have to split it.
'Robin Hoods' who feed parking meters are hit with lawsuit in New Hampshire
Wed May 15, 2013
Agreed, Backgrountry. I don't consider saying that she can't write a ticket to be a big deal at all, but if this group really wants to be respected, they should just help people and leave those who are just doing their jobs alone.
Government appeals 'morning-after pill' ruling
Mon May 13, 2013
Let's see now... the entertainment industry is telling kids to have sex whenever they want and it's okay. Just look at all of the various pregnancy shows on these days? They all feature teens or people unmarried or something else similar.
'Junk' DNA mystery solved: It's not needed
Sun May 12, 2013
I know very little about DNA beyond what you hear or read or are taught in school. However, I would think that there is a far greater chance that the so-called "junk" DNA does have a purpose. Consider this... there are a lot of people who believe in evolution.

Babies with knives? Co-sleeping ad angers some parents
Yes, co-sleeping is dangerous and parents should know that.
It really doesn't, though. Is it really such a disservice to warn of the dangers? Even if the warnings are in-your-face? It isn't saying that you can't do it. It's not saying that you are going to kill your baby if you do it.
My only real issue with this cosleeping issue is when it goes too long. A relative of mine did this and it never really ended until much later than it should. The kids were too focused on that being where they had to sleep that they were there until 5 or 6. That is far too long.
